Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner the perfect place to spend a lazy day.

Relaxed, great quality and such a friendly vibe awaits you at The Winking Prawn. I am convinced you could turn up here in a bad mood with screaming kids and after 5 minutes that would all be forgotten, such is the atmosphere. We have sat in the rain looking out across North Sands, watching the car park flood with our car in the middle and still hung on for a few more minutes to enjoy the place. The breakfast is great, I don't see any reason not to join the queue and go for the buffet but the seafood in the evening is where my heart belongs. In the summer months booking is essential, particularly with kids as then you can ask for a table by the dressing up box so the kids are occupied while you try and find the skill to narrow down what you are going to eat. More often than not for me it is the sharing seafood platter, because I enjoy it so much I see no reason to deny myself this "treat" each time I visit. It is when you are waiting for the the food that is one of the best parts, the buzz of other dinners, the laughter of kids with another crazy wig on and the anticipation of the food. For us as family and friends there is no place we would rather be when we are around Salcombe.
